I have many friends who still believe in the original small government, low tax fiscal policies of the party.

But everything else has turned them off.

So they are now either libertarians or independent.

if you mean better understanding inequalities that divide our citizens, sure, the party has gone left in those respects

But I like to think of it more as evolving and growing. Marriage Equality, LGBTQ+ Rights and absolutely finding a solution to the ridiculous costs for healthcare in this country should be what everyone in the land that believes in Liberty and Justice FOR ALL.
