What is masculine about a name that ends in -wyn? And no, it's not German, it's Welsh. Which, as you say, is different from Irish. Bronwyn Evans, Bronagh Ó'Flannagáin.

OP, would you consider Brona? Brona is to Bronagh what Maeve is to Medbh.

Browyn, Bronagh, etc are harsh and ugly names. The look ugly and awkward and they do not sound melodic or pretty. They sound masculine.
