NCS is for rich, mainstream girls. Otherwise, it's tough. I'd never send a kid there.

I don’t think you should’ve outed the recent grad who is an Uber driver. They’re probably aren’t that many recent grads that are uber drivers in DC and you have now outed her and what she told you to a public forum. Not cool.

Our NCS waitress at Cactus Cantina was lovely, although she said you need a thick skin to go there and it’s not for everyone.

Keep in mind this is why the former head of Beauvoir was fired-she wanted to keep out conservative families. Thank god calmer minds prevailed and she is gone.

Keep on with your fantasies. That’s not why she was fired. The only conservative family she actively tried to keep out we’re the Trumps, for which some of us were very grateful. Secret Service presence complicates things, and it would have changed Beauvoir in a negative way.

She was fired for a number of different reasons, most of which had to do with competence, leadership, and interpersonal skillss — or lack thereof.

Baloney it was the truth. The other stuff true also. By the way even your reasoning was wack-keeping out anyone based on politics is not okay. Pretty sure you would have had no problem with the Biden’s. Also Trump did not look at Beauvoir-not age group. His daughter (for her kids) chose a Jewish school purposely in line with her faith. Also a great school.

Love how you can’t think in complete sentences.

Ivanka’s children were not welcome at Beauvoir. They are the Trumps referred to in the previous post.

Most Beauvoir parents would not have welcomed any kids requiring constant security.

You are wrong on this point. U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice had her kids at Beauvoir and the secret service were on the Cathedral Close and at major donor events.

No, I’m not wrong on this point. Th fact that Susan Rice had her kids there at one point does not mean current parents would welcome a Secret Service presence. I’m sure if given the choice he parents then wouldn’t have wanted it either.

Cathedral parents: you win hands down for the absolute worst parent community in the private school universe. This thread and countless other NCS/Beauvoir/STA threads never fail to unequivocally show the shallowness, ignorance, and utter arrogance of the community. Congratulations! You deserve each other.

Sorry your daughter didn’t get in. I wish her well.

NP - I am a Cathedral parent so no sour grapes here, but I cringe when I read some of the posts on here. I completely understand why the PP gets that impression. However, I feel it bears no resemblance to the community I have experienced in real life. Not sure who these posters are, but I don't recognize them in the real life parents I know.

There are no Cathedral parents on this forum and I should know. We applied to Cathedral and were accepted but chose another school.

I know plenty of girls from NCS that went to Ivies and are at Ivies now. Congrats to your daughter for getting into Harvard. That’s quite an accomplishment.

Thank you! It's rare on DCUM when someone is nice w/o snark.

Though your initial post was full of it. You sound quite petty. As a Harvard alum, I hope your daughter is not like you.

For grad school right?

Great use of logic there.

There are people on this site who pretend to be part of communities for the sole purpose of trolling and stirring the pot. NCS and GDS both seem like frequent targets for some reason.

I’m sure Harvard would be proud to know that you’re using your Harvard degree to bully people online that you disagree with.
