THIS is the OP. When I read your post, a few choice curse words come to mind that I think about you, but I will abstain from using them since using them will do nothing to refute your obviously negative opinion of me.

Actually, I have a Masters degree and a 3.9 GPA. I hold multiple certifications in my field. Unfortunately, my field is one of those "callings" that does not earn much, despite my years of education and experience. I worked for an unnamed state-run employer that had a 5-year salary freeze. I quit to save my dignity and to pursue a different, more lucrative career path. Unfortunately, that career path did not pan out for me and I was let go from the new position, hence my job loss last year, so I returned to my previous field in order to quickly secure employment for my family, but unfortunately that new job pays even less than the previous.

I am not retarded. I was a straight A student throughout school and took multiple AP courses in high school. I take great offense to that. I also take great offense to people saying they feel bad for my kids. I do not know how my social dalliances, which are kept private and done at night after they're in bed, have any effect whatsoever on the kind of parent I am. Especially since I haven't even pursued said rockstar yet, thus rendering any of my plans to be merely hypothetical. You put me down as a mother, neglecting to consider that I did whatever it took to ensure my children were well fed with a roof over their heads, even when it meant returning to my previous job field just to have viable employment again. I worked up to my due date at that job too, and returned to work less than two months later, just so I'd have money to care for my kids. When my mother-in-law gifted me cash last Christmas, I spent it on ABC Mouse for my kids, and a fun excursion with the kids. I have swallowed my pride and always acted super nice to my older child's condescending teacher who I dislike, just because of doing what's best for my kids. How dare anyone say the kids should be taken away or pitied. As for the in-laws claiming to want custody if I divorce: I do admit she probably just said that to scare me, because the last thing she wants is her darling son ending up divorced, looking like a "screwup". No, I do not do drugs or drink or even smoke cigarettes. No, I do not have a criminal record. Neither does my husband.

Sounds like a TWG to me.

Figure out an escape plan & work on it hastily.
The only option you have for true happiness is a divorce.
