When I was in my early 20s I had a very vivid dream about a neighbor who had lived in the house next to us when I was growing up. We were sitting at the kitchen table in my parents' house talking and catching up. I hadn't thought about him in years. The next day my mom called to tell me that he had died the previous day in a car accident. |
Here ate some ghostly images to make you wonder about the spirit world.

I believe that Earth is actually Hell and that when we die we move on. However, we all have lessons to be learned while here and if we don't learn them then we have to come back and do it all again. I also believe that if you were mean and evil in another life then you come back and atone for those actions. |
Hugs to you. I have posted about this before but I lost a baby late term. He still comes and visits me. He is growing up wherever he is. Sometimes an older woman comes with him and sits in the corner of the room in our bedroom chair while he snuggles me. When he was younger I could always hear him calling for me but could never find him, it wasn’t until he was about 5 I could actually see him. I hope that helps you. I am a skeptic generally but 100% believe he is my son coming back to see me. |
I really appreciate the town reference but it won't be you. I actually come from a family with numerous members of different spiritual abilities----but I have never entertained seeing a medium. You are different and I'm sure you know that. I understand you have politely declined but I hope you reach out. |
Interesting thread. My sister died very suddenly a couple years ago. One of my friend's friend is a medium in the dc area and I met with her briefly and kind of blew it off. She said a lot of the things PP had said (about connecting with dead people sometimes reluctantly). She wasn't pressuring me or going to charge any money so I may as well give it a shot and try to keep an open mind. I miss my sister dearly and kind of feel she would just tell me things I'd want to hear |
I may have posted this here before but am fascinated by it.
My grandfather had one sibling- a brother. They grew up in the 1920s and were said to have NEVER got along through their entire lives. When their parents died there was a great deal of bitterness over the estate. Decades later my grandfather was the first to die. Years after his passing my uncle had a dream--- and in this dream he was sleeping. He awoke within the dream to the sound of a car pulling into a gravel driveway. He went outside to a surreal perfect blue sky morning and sitting in the driveway was a white Cadillac that his father (my grandfather) was driving. He immediately knew in the dream that his father had passed years ago. His dad never got out of the car and struck up conversation about how everything had been since he died. At some point in conversation his dad suddenly said that he had to leave. My uncle begged that he had so much more to talk about and asked why he had to go. His Dad looked him square in the eyes and said "I have to pick someone up." And like that he backed out of the drive and drove off. Within a day or two of this dream my Uncle received a phone call that his dad's brother had committed suicide. This suicide was by complete surprise to the family. So, it appears that the two brothers whom never got along in life still reconnected in the next. |
To the medium that posted, do you know if the souls of our dogs and cats go to the same place we do? |
I'm really sorry about your sister. |
I think they do. |
A gang of, frankly, rude, ghosts came to me in the hospital after I gave birth and woke me up 3 times when I fell asleep with my newborn in my arms in the bed. They stood at my bed making fun of me as a naive new mom and were chatting with each other about how risky it was. I could see them first as a dream but they came back after I woke up. |
Didn’t come back, I didn’t put that right. It was like I woke up from a dream to find out it wasn’t a dream at all. |

My dad passed away this year. He was very involved with my boys and always attended all of their soccer games. He began a tradition years ago when they were in Kindergarten of giving them a $1 for each goal they scored. At one of the first games after he died I was very emotional because I was used to watching them with my dad who was just hilarious. Towards the end of the game my son had a beautiful goal. We decided to go to Starbucks for a treat. When my son opened the car door and stepped out there was a $1 bill laying in the parking lot by his feet. I am convinced it was from my dad.
I’ve had many other experiences in the months since he passed—but too tired right now to write them. I also had an incredibly vivid visitation dream about a month after he passed. Unlike any dream I’ve ever had. I also would love to find a medium in the DC area. I wish Tyler Henry was a friend! |
