| There was a time I really wanted to buy and renovate a large historical house, but then I watched “the haunted mansion” with my kids and decided hell no. My husband saw a ghost of a young boy on an old property owned by fed government. Many others have seen the same ghost over time. He does not like to talk about it at all. |
| I don't think I would want that energy in the house. Though, Irma Goff remained in her Potomac home for years after her husband and three daughters were brutally murdered in the house. |
| Do you suspect the murderer is going to come back for you as well? Seems like a nothing-burger unless you buy into the whole ghost/spirit thing. |
| No way. |
Wow, I was away at college during that time, and missed this story. Incredibly scary, tragic, and depressing. You have to be so careful about who you allow in your home. |
| What about death by suicide? |
| No. I watch to many shows where years later police officers find DNA evidence in the home to solve a crime. |
Someone can be buried under your house right now, you just don't know it. |
| Never. Ever. Not even if it were free. |
That’s different. I’d stay, too. |
It was sold and demolished. I assume they are rebuilding it from the ground up. |
| Why not? The Amityvile Horror house sold not long ago |
And now the property is up for sale. Would never purchase a property with such a tragic and sad history. RIP. |
| No way would I ever!!!!! |
| I know I house in our neighborhood where the sisters boyfriend shot and killed her brother. |
