No issues with anyone yelling at the kids, but they weren’t particularly skilled at teaching the 6-7 year old set, in my opinion, either. Lots of the instruction went over most kids’ head. Like they would work on field position, only a small subset would seem to get it, then they’d move on to something else and not necessarily expect or reinforce what was just learned. I think if your child is particularly mature , able to listen, and driven then it is worthwhile — just to get so many extra touches at that age. There were a handful of kids who really improved. Mine would have better off sticking with Rec.
This is helpful. PP. Thanks. Curious what you are doing this year if you care to share, as I recall at tryouts we were told that all kids in juniors would be offered a spot on 1 of the mclean travel teams. We opted out of Juniors last year for our 1st, and based on the above, it does not sound like it would be a good fit for 2nd either next year.
