Just back from Maine. In Maine, they love Blueberry pies. Probably around here, people prefer fruit pies that grow around hear: Apple, and Peach.

In Maine, it is Blueberry (and Lahbstah).

In the NW, it is cherry pie.

In western NY, grape pie is a thing. It's good. Lots of grape growing and vineyards in the Finger Lakes area.

Never heard of anyone hating a real cherry pie (that is not made with cherry pie filling from a jar/can).

Only because the blueberry pies you ate had too much sugar added to the fruit. And probably didn't use fresh blueberries.
