| I LIKE ALL THE PIES |
Whipped cream. |
They make great pies but the fruit pies are not the sweetest (I say in a sad way). |
This. I do love blueberries as part of a fruit blend -- I once had an amazing peach-blueberry pie--but the blueberries have to be tart. A lot of blueberries are huge but basically flavorless, and then you just have a big, mushy, bland pie that stains everything. And sour cherry pie is my favorite! |
That’s funny. If this is the same place I’m remembering (I’ve only been 2-3x), I found their wares way too sweet. |
| I love it. Blueberry, cherry, apple, peach.. mmmmmmmm |
| I hate blueberry pie. I don't really know why because I like mixed berry pie. I hate cherry pie too. Both are just too gloppy. |
| Only pie I really like is blueberry with brim s on top and I make a good one. |
Because the texture is vile. I also hate cream cheese frosting. Blueberry pie can be divine though. Unless it has too much pectin or is too gooey. |

Haven't read the whole thread, but HUH? Who doesn't like blueberry pie? I love blueberry pie. I love all pies.

Amen! |

I've never had a really good store-bought blueberry pie, usually because there is lots of sauce and very few blueberries. I add NO water to my blueberry pie filling, just sugar, butter, lemon juice and cornstarch. It's pretty much solid berries. Same for jam (pectin, no cornstarch) and chutney.

| Blueberry pie can be pretty good when you make it with local, wild berries (the little ones that are blue all the way through) and don't over thicken, but I would go for strawberry/rhubarb or peach first. |

I love blueberry pies (so long as it’s not that fake canned crap).
Trader Joe’s actually has a decent one. Epicurious has a good one that is a blueberry sour cream custard pie (solves the runny problem). My least favorite fruit pie is peach—I love peaches but cooked peaches somehow get a bitter taste. I want to love it but I don’t. |
Yes, as a baker cherries are my least fav to work with. Blueberries on the other hand are my favorite! I love a blueberry/cranberry combo |
