Do you ever look at a "hot" celeb and realize they aren't really attractive?

Mark walhberg instantly turned ugly in my eyes after it came out that he was convicted of beating a Vietnamese man almost to death while screamingly racial epithets at him when he was a teenager. He blinded the guy and then years later, tried to get a liquor license for his restaurant but couldn't because he's a convicted felon.

Apparently, he didn't actually blind him, though he did attack and viciously beat the guy. He was a violent, racist, thug in his youth.

My DH would say Julia Stiles. She's plain, not really any bad features and comes off as probably down to earth/normal.

My DH cannot stand her- so much hate! Hates her voice, her tiny eyes, her hair and her body. I don't understand why she skeeves him so.

For me: Will Smith. Just nope- not attractive or sexy. No swagga. His wife seems to have a bigger dick than him.

Tatum Chandler/Mark Wahlberg/Matt Damon/Leo DiCaprio= same person- tiny eyes, lumpy nondescript features. Somewhat more jowly and bloated as they age.

Ryan Gosling- looks like an old man- did even when he was on Mickey Mouse club. Thin long sharp nose, saggy/tired eyes with shadows, thin lips, dopey hair and smirk. Huh?

Yes yes yes. Ryan Gosling. I don't see it at all. I can appreciate most traditionally handsome men, like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Ben Afleck, the Rock, Denzel . . . But I just do not get it with Ryan. His nose is out of shape and lopsided.

I don't think most celebrities are actually more attractive IRL than other people roughly their age with a certain amount of disposable income and who take decent care of themselves. Are there any celebrities who come to mind whom you find genuinely, startlingly beautiful/attractive? I rarely see famous people but off the top of my head I feel like Halle Berry and Cate Blanchett may be like that.

This. Google celebs without makeup. Some are frightful. I also think that some celebrities are considered attractive only because they are rammed down our throat by their PR team 24/7.
