Do you ever look at a "hot" celeb and realize they aren't really attractive?

Leonardo Dicaprio is not aging well and looks very elfin
Johnny Depp was my teen crush, but WTF happened to him?
Kirsten Dunst. I also hate her acting.
Julia Stiles looks like a female Leonardo Dicaprio

Mid-line Handsome/pretty:
Jude Law
Hugh Jackman
Robert Downey, Jr.
Anne Hathaway
Amanda Seyfried

Extremely handsome/gorgeous:
Rufus Sewell
John Hamm
Alex O'Loughlin
Scarlett Johansson
Gal Gadot
Nicole Kidman has taxidermed herself or something, but she still looks amazing.

Most of these people were attractive in their prime. It's pointless to pick on someone who physically peaked 20-30 years ago.

DiCaprio was very "pretty" and almost feminine-looking in his day. He was honestly beautiful at one point, but that's a look that just doesn't age well.

People who have rugged features age the best. Age softens their edges a bit. People who were soft looking to begin with just get kinda droopy and corpulent as the years go by.

He looks like he had plastic surgery or lip injections. And I’ve always thought that. Agree with the wrestler description.

Oh yes, hideous.
If you've seen that "pony" dance and don't think he's hot, I really wonder about your sexuality.

Not the PP, but if Chippendale-style dancing floats your boat, enjoy. I'm a heterosexual woman who doesn't find "pretty boys" or Chippendale dancers attractive AT ALL.

Ryan Gosling. He looks like a ferret.

Swoonworthy gents are - Paul Newman , Paul Walker, Adam Levine, Idris Elba, (young) Tom Selleck, (young) Alex O'Loughlin as "Steve Mcgarrett, Matt Bomer, (young) Mark Harmon, Edward Burns and Liam Hemsworth.

I think Sarah Jessica Parker was attractive when she was in her 20s. She looks quite unattractive now.

I cannot stand Jessica Biel for some reason. Do not find her attractive at all.

Wow, I completely agree with everything you've said! Especially Paul Newman and Paul Walker. Another swoonworthy actor (for me) is Harrison Ford in his younger days. Early Star Wars, Patriot Games, Bladerunner, Raiders, etc.

Not the PP, but I agree with her. And I'm in my 40's. Are you 15?

Ha, I’m 50 and agree with most of what PP said.

As for SJP, she started on Broadway. Girl can sing. Annie, anyone?

+1
SJP isn't especially pretty, but there's a sparkle about her that makes her attractive. She seems to have a lovely personality and sense of humor.

Actors who are actually not handsome at all, list includes almost all of them for me.
Ryan Gosling(like, really? He is not just not ok, he is ugly.)
Liam Hemsworth(there is a reason his own brothers call him the ugly bro)
Jake Gyllenhall?! Really, who finds that attractive?
Channing Tatum, looks like a fat, no neck bouncer at a cheap club.
Robert Pattinson, he actually even knows he is ugly, said so himself many, many times.
Benedict Cumberbatch, ugly too, but I will admit he can act and somehow makes up for it
George Clooney?!
Only CW and Marvel can cast pretty looking male actors occasionally.
The list goes on...

His sister is gross too

People love the characters she's played, like Carrie Bradshaw (who I hate, but you can't deny some people loved that character).

She has the same affectation in every role. Putting her hand over her heart to declare something. Constantly. Every character. I can't watch her act because of it.

That's a good list and mostly agree. I am 35.

I liked Tom Cruise way back in the day but Brad Pitt never did it for me. I just don't see what everyone else sees, but it doesn't keep me up at night. Plenty of celebrities to go around.

There is a lot of Carrie in her characters now -- in the same way I see Rachel Green in all of Jennifer Aniston's roles -- but pre-Carrie roles weren't like that. SanDeE* in L.A. Story comes to mind.

Brad Pitt used to be attractive but now he looks like a dirty wizard. Who arranges their beard into dreadlocks?! I mean, pull yourself together, Brad.

I have to disagree with the Cameron Diaz hate on this thread. She’s a stunner.

In general, it’s important to remember that looks can help in certain roles in show business, but acting skills matter. A less than model-looking SJP is a hell of an actress. She brings her characters alive so well I have too much cognitive dissonance even thinking about the fact that she is not, in fact, Carrie Bradshaw.

Mark walhberg instantly turned ugly in my eyes after it came out that he was convicted of beating a Vietnamese man almost to death while screamingly racial epithets at him when he was a teenager. He blinded the guy and then years later, tried to get a liquor license for his restaurant but couldn't because he's a convicted felon.
