DH here, fit, not unattractive. Always on the lookout, but the problem is connecting with the "right" woman, or cultivating an affair relationship without misreading cues, etc.

Speak for yourself. I’m 40, don’t have a full six pack - shabby diet over the holidays - but have four abs visible. I will be back down again before summer surely. I work out a lot, have an unstoppable libido and want sex all the time. I’m social and very intimate. You’ve just been meeting the wrong guys. Most of my social circle are mid-thirties to lower 40s and most of us keep in shape. I find if your gut hangs over your belt even a little bit it’s time to hit the gym and watch your diet.
