| I generally prefer neutrals however a family member has a sunny yellow family room and I love it. |
| Yellow is my favorite color. We have a two story foyer painted Wyndham Cream, which is really more ivory than yellow, and Hawthorn Yellow in a few other rooms. |
Exactly how I felt as I painted over our bright red kitchen. I have no idea why you would paint a kitchen red. |
| I see a red wall and I want it painted black. |
| I can't stand yellow walls either and while i like great, it's just so ubiquitous. We painted our dining room Valspar Churchill Hotel Maple and it's a nice warm lighter brown. I really love it. |
Red is supposed to make you eat more, so that's why people painted dining rooms and kitchens red. Although considering how fat America is, I don't know why anyone would want that... |
| Ben Moore Shooting Star - we varied from 50% - 100% throughout the first floor except for two v diff dark blues in a couple rooms. An interior designer helped us pick & we love it. |
Whenever I see houses with vibrant red and yellow walls I feel like I'm at a fast food restaurant. Yuck. |
| We use Behr Country Dairy on our first floor. It is a nice cream color with yellow undertones. |
|
We have used Benjamin Moore's Rich Cream in our last three houses and in rooms with lower light- it is a nice butter yellow color. I think it would be great for a first floor.
Also I like the rec for SW's Butter Up. It is a great yellow. |
| We used Hazelwood by Dunn Edwards and it's been perfect http://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color/94972_Match-of-Dunn-Edwards-DE5281-Hazelwood |
If you house-hunted in the late 90s/early oughts there were so many red kitchens and dining rooms, it was crazy. |
| We used BM Weston Flax for our basement, which has some light (it's a walkout with large windows), but needed some warmth on the walls. |
| BM Soleil looks great in the north facing living room/kitchen of our 1920s bungalow. I'm from Europe where all walls are white, but in a room with little sun soleil is just what we needed. |
