Was this before or after Renesmee happened? Huh, googling it now, it seems even Renesmee had a middle name to fall back on. At least give your child that option, OP!

What is wrong with you, OP? That baby is a PERSON, not a race horse or a dog. Give him a real name, not a joke!

I would never name my dog Jimothy.

That is god-awful. It's like someone with a speech impediment trying to say "Master"

OP, your child will not feel left out if his name doesn't start with a J. My DH's older brothers were David and Daniel, and DH's first name was alliterative with the dog's name. He really doesn't care.

Maybe one day Masther will marry that fine young man, Jimothy, and they will name their baby Masjim.

OP again. I may have to abandon actually naming him Jimothy if I'm gonna get reactions like this, jeez. Still leaning towards James Timothy NN Jimothy. I guess I'm just caught up in the excitement of finally having a boy! A chubby little Jimothy would be so adorable, but I can understand why some of you are against it.

Thanks to those of you who offered actual input.

This is actually a joke from The Office when Michael Scott thinks that Jim's full name is Jimothy.
