Things are not looking good for Barack Obama.

Things are not looking good for someone, that's for sure. Can you guess who?

Do you people even know how FiSA warrants are obtained? This blaming of Obama shows you are just as uninformed as PEEOTUS.

The question is not whether the wiretaps were legal. The question is whether or not they continued to tape even when they found nothing. What's damning is Obama relaxing the rules on how the information can be viewed and used two weeks before he left office.

Dems are walking back their statements to keep themselves from being caught in the web. Interesting times.

Things are not looking good for Barack Obama.

In your dreams.

Democrats are begging for an investigation. Bring it on!

Consider how he won the run for Senate candidate in Chicago....

Do tell!

His opponent's closed divorce records were somehow opened and dirt spread. Seems Obama had help within those offices....

Oh, how quaint! Divorce records. People used to care about divorce back then.

Also, his opponent must have been a jerk if his divorce records negatively affected his campaign.

Also, where are your receipts, PP? Neutral source, not Infowars please.

Yes I know how they are obtained. And I know they are written for specifics, which is why the first one was turned down. The issue is not whether or not the warrant was illegally or legally obtained, the issue is about violation of the terms and what Obama then did after.

None of what you say matters if a man's divorce records were unsealed illegally. Liberals seem to not care about the law if it benefits them in any way.

In a nutshell:

[i[In essence, Jerri Ryan blackmailed Jack Ryan into a much more generous divorce settlement than she would have received if she hadn’t made his unrealized sex fantasies a part of the filing.

The divorce agreement was supposed to be sealed and unavailable to reporters; once she had her loot, Jerri Ryan never talked about any of the Cleopatra Club stories again. Her intent was never to hurt Ryan, just to blackmail him for the best divorce settlement possible.

Flashforward to 2004. The Obama Senate campaign illegally obtains Jack Ryan’s sealed divorce filing and sees the Cleopatra Club references. Obama’s operatives release the embarrassing sexual fantasy material to the media, and the criminally stupid Cocktail Party here in Illinois makes the decision to force Ryan to withdraw from the Senate race after he was already picked as the nominee. I need to use bold for this, but Jack Ryan would have won that Senate race if the Cocktail Party GOP establishment had not forced him off the ballot.

Barack Obama would not have been elected to the Senate in 2004, and he would not have been elected President in 2008. None of the terrible things that have happened to our country in the last three years would have taken place if the criminally stupid Cocktail Party hadn’t forced Ryan to withdraw from the Senate race for having sexual fantasies about his own wife.

After they got rid of Jack Ryan, the Cocktail Party decided it was Alan Keyes’ turn to run for Senate…even though he had never lived in Illinois. Keyes quickly bought as small a parcel of land as he could find and the Cocktail Party slapped him onto the ballot to run against Obama. The end result wasn’t even close.[/i]

^^^ Correction: They were obtained illegally, then unsealed legally....

At this point we don't know that "nothing was found" and in fact Trump's Russia issues seem to keep multiplying every week, rather than going away.

Great theory. A simple search would tell you that this information was released by LA Superior Court judge Robert Schnider.

This is fake news. I grew up in Illinois and still have a lot of family there. Hence, I tend to follow the State's politics closely. Ryan's divorce documents were released legally in response to media legal action:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/chi-0406180364jun18-story.html

Dealing a blow to the U.S. Senate candidacy of Republican Jack Ryan, a California judge ruled that several sealed divorce records likely to embarrass the candidate and his ex-wife should be opened to the public.

Ruling on a request brought by attorneys for the Tribune and WLS-TV, Superior Court Judge Robert Schnider acknowledged that the resulting publicity from the disclosure would be harmful to the couple's son, a key argument Ryan had raised in seeking to keep the documents from public view.

But Schnider said he had weighed the public interest of disclosure against the private interests of the Ryans and their child. "In the end," Schnider found, "the balance tips slightly to the public.

Moreover, the original leaks about the contents of these documents occurred during the Republican primary:

Ryan, however, won his primary despite a late round of rumors and innuendoes about what was in the file as well as controversial accusations leveled by a rival's campaign manager who claimed he saw copies of the sealed divorce documents.

I'm a Democrat. Definitely want the investigation to proceed. Think it will bring a lot of information to light regarding Trump and his circle.

I'm not worried for Obama - at all. Trump played his cards and he played them stupidly. Let TowerGate investigation proceed.

PP carrying on about Obama is quite hyperbolic and is trying to shoot the messenger rather than wanting to acknowledge the real issue here. Essentially Obama is like the guy who looked in the window of a locked van and saw a bloody knife, rope and duct tape on the seat, in a neighborhood where there have been serial killings. You're more mad about peeking into the van than you are about the serial killer.

If they bring an investigation on and do actual due dilligence it will expose far more about Trump and his circle than it will about Obama.

I hope the GOP heeds Trump's call for more investigation. To date, the Republicans have avoided any scrutiny into Trump's election connection to Russia and instead have wanted to focus on the leakers.

By making this call, Trump is asking the GOP to research and disclose what the Intelligence Community knew, how they gathered the information and what was taken to the FISC for the FISA permission to surveil. In all likelihood, this will do more harm to Trump and his campaign as the relationships and money connections will come to light.

At the same time, assuming everyone in the Obama Administration was above board, it will clear them in the eyes of the law and public. Of course, if the Obama Administration wasn't above board, then they will get whatever penalty they deserve - and that is totally fine of course.

I am not worried about Barack Obama. I doubt he did anything wrong. And if he *did* do something wrong, the I am fine with him accepting the consequences of that.
Do you think we are afraid of what Obama may or may not have done? Because I'm not.

I actually am a little bit worried about Obama, not that he did anything wrong but that nothing is too low for trump and his comrades including malicious prosecution and kangaroo courts. And that's apart from inspring some lone, crazy deplorable to try to harm him though obviously he has secret service protection.
