Good choice. Are you aware that they will be opening up a new ES in 2018? CG zones will be affected.

The area that I am moving to won't be affected in any of the scenarios that the county presented. Unless they decided to change those options.

We're moving to Rockville later this summer from out of state and have a 10-year-old daughter. What are these scenarios/options referenced here? What changes are being planned/considered? I assumed she'd be attending College Gardens, but maybe I need more information.

Anonymous wrote:OP here. I will be looking to rent. My current condo is going to be sold through a short sale due to the amount I paid for it is no longer what it is valued for and the neighborhood it is in has also declined greatly.

I heard the part of the area where I grew up is not that great anymore. I went to Watkins Mills cluster schools.

I teach in Burtonsville so way down county.

What about Burtonsville?

Burtonsville "way down county"? Damn get a map teacher. I hope you don't teach geography. Burtonsville is hardly "down county". It's in the northeast part of the county. I wouldn't even shop for groceries in that area. Way too close to PG County and all of it's crime and thugs.

If your child is in 4th or 5th grade next year they will not be affected by the changes.

I think she meant further down in the county meaning south.
