Will Paul Ryan move to impeach Trump in 2017 or 2018?

The entire state of NC has to have new elections because their efforts were so egregious

Don't pretend that people love the republicans - hey have schemed and lied their way to power

Pro tip: assume everyone who is uniquely powerful or wealthy is a liar and/or a schemer. You'll be much closer to the truth than you were before.

Because Bill wasn't.

Of course he was.

Do you really not know this?

There are a lot of young posters on this forum.

I think they were referring to the fact that he didn't need to leave the office. I think everyone knows he was impeached.

Yes, there was an impeachment trial, but the articles of impeachment did not pass. Hell, there weren't even enough votes for censure. You throw around the word impeached as if it actually occurred. If your obsession with the Clinton's is really that serious, please get some help.

Um, no. He was impeached. Impeachment happens in the house.

The articles of impeachment then move to the senate, where a trial is held. They held a trial. In the end, he did not lose his job.

Not obsessed. I voted for Hillary (I was too young to vote for Bill). I was just too lazy to look up the specific words to use - (bullshit) articles of impeachment were brought, but he didn't leave office.

I don't even think he'll let them start. He'll just make like Sarah Palin and quit.

Or Nixon.

I come from a third world country, the stature and state of U.S politics at this moment is worse than what I have ever seen in a third world country. I don't have words to describe how the mighty have fallen. It is truly heartbreaking because people like me have spent their lives looking up to U.S democratic process and U.S President.

Sorry, didn't mean to paint you with the brush of obsession...the PP obviously has some issues with the Clinton's. My point is that impeachment is a process. An incomplete one, in this case.

THANK YOU. Bill Clinton was impeached by the House but not convicted by the Senate, so he did not leave office.

But this is virtually irrelevant in Trump's case, because if it gets bad enough that this House has the votes to impeach him, this Senate will absolutely convict him.

OMG. You people are insufferable.
If it “gets bad enough” with ANY presidency, this will happen.
It is going to be a very long 4-8 years for some of you.
I guess you can spend that time foolishly hoping that impeachment is just around the corner.

It is just around the corner. He is making enemies of everyone. They will turn on him.

And you base this on what? An impulse? Wishful thinking? A bee in your bonnet?

I think the intelligence community has plenty of evidence of collusion with a hostile foreign power. Why do you think the senate is actually starting an investigation when they said they wouldn't just a few days ago?

I am glad you said you "think" because we would not know what evidence the intelligence community has or does not have. Are you privy to any such concrete information?

The investigation is to ascertain the facts and it is appropriate that the Senate does do so. What McConnell and Ryan have said is that there is no reason to have a bi-partisan commission of the Senate and House to conduct an investigation and they have held that position. They have no argued against the Senate and House conducting hearings by the appropriate committees.
