The Alt-right and DCUM

My guess is that there are quite a few people trolling here. 4chan users are tech savvy enough to spoof IP addresses so it's not as obvious to Jeff that the same 400-lb dudes in basements are sh*tposting over and over, but I think it's pretty likely given the overwhelmingly Democratic demographics of the DC area and surroundings.

Either that, or the Trump posters are so much more active here because they don't have jobs like the Clinton supporters do.

Agree. The conversations on here do not reflect local politics at all, and frankly, I don't think they even represent the country as a whole. I think there's a lot of Trumpster trolling, especially since many of the conversations are so repetitive and focus on minor sh^t, and not on, you know, diplomacy, policy, and economic outcomes.

And you seriously believe the average American cares about this?

I think the demographics of the rest of this site tend to be more professional, educated, and worldly than the average American.

Just watch one of his rallies. It is not far fetched to believe they are posting here too.
So sorry your little liberal bubble on DCUM is no longer so liberal anymore.

As a liberal I don't care that republican pigs are posting here, if anything I love reading their cyber meltdowns

And I love seeing the liberal, hypocritical douche bags shoving camels down their throats while shaking their tiny fists in impotent rage.

Does this mean something to you?

I think "shoveling camels" down your throat is an old Russian idiom.

Tiny fists? You mean like Trump's small hands?

Actually I see an lot more Clinton trolls vs the Trump trolls. Maybe that's because Jeff removes the Trump posters, but a lot of those might also come over from the fairfax site. There is no discussion with either one. Anyways there is a huge up tick in the Clinton trolls.

Aren't the Russians in favor of Trump winning? Hmmm. Back to the OP's original point/question.

To the poster mentioning Clinton trolls. I never used to post in the political forum. I have recently started posting. I am not a troll. Just someone who noticed the uptick of Trump posters or trolls and wanted to provide the opposite viewpoint. One of my uncles is a Trump supporter and I see how frequently he and his friends post things on Facebook versus my non-Trump supporter friends. And I realized Trump supporters are kind of rabid and flood websites and comments with their thoughts so it appears that there are more Trump supporters than not. However thankfully I believe it is just an appearance due to the prolific postings of just a few posters.

Oh hello Trump supporter from the deep south or midwest or wherever!

Yes, average Americans in the DC region do care about this. Maybe you should eff right off to the hinterlands forums that glorify ignorance and represent the views of people in your area.

i hope so.

diplomacy: how we get along with other countries in the world, what we do about nuclear powers out there, how we relate to the arab world and israel
policy: do women get equal pay to men? what benefits do veterans get?
economic outcomes: how can we get better jobs that make more money?

wasn't Obama supposed to "fix" this? All three points have gotten worse

But hey, go ahead and vote for the same.

Yes, thanks, I WILL vote for more of the same! Obama has been awesome at growing the economy and fighting for women, minorities, and gay people to have equal rights and opportunities.

But you know, your guy GW Bush sure did Trump and other plutocrats a favor in 2008 with the total economic meltdown, so I completely understand why an unemployed dude living in his mom's basement would want to hate-vote for Trump and see everyone else get screwed over.

That's just basic schadenfreude.

What shocks me is how anyone could actually like Hillary.

I mean, I get it that many of you will hold your nose and check the box for her in light of Trump.

But you can't seriously like this wretched two-faced criminal, can you?

Look, we've already established that you're uneducated. So it's not surprising you are "shocked" by what educated people think.

I mean, I'll bet you're "shocked" about evolution and the fact that the world is round, too.

Well the same can be said of Trump. Do people actually LIKE him? Sure they are voting for him - but what is there to like about him??
