No no no no no no no.
Us free-spirit-havin', tofu munching, Glut shopping Mt. Rainier ladies don't want to meet this guy.

Haven't been to glut but since i am vegetarian, after looking it up, seems like I need to make it a weekly thing.

Please don't come to meeting for worship in order to pick up women whom you believe will make your life more colorful. Everyone is welcome and no statement of faith or membership is required, but we are there for a reason, and it's not to be a sexual tourist destination.

Yeah, I'm not gonna do that - I won't hit on women who are working because that's disrespectful doing that at a house of worship is ridiculous.

+1, I am similar to the girl you describe and I have discovered that I am kind of rare, but they are out there ....Widespread Panic was just in town at the Warner Theater and you can bet I was there for both shows and it was packed w/ these kinds of folks (my tribe, haha). I am going to assume a few of them lived in DC too! If you don't mind me asking, what is your age?

30 - looking 25-32 is my range.

I am out of your range at 34, but you have some really great suggestions on this thread. I think I saw someone suggest Greenbelt, more specifically you should check out New Deal Cafe. What kind of music do you like? I think I have found wonderful people just based on the music scene I am into and getting out to different places in the area. Also, go out to some of the breweries in Loudon County on a weekend, especially w/ Fall upon us. It is beautiful and there is a lot of good live music. There are lots of women and groups of women that fit what you describe. Good luck!!

I am stuck here until my kids leave home so I have to work full time in a career I loathe so I can afford to live inside the beltway in Montgomery County. I've been dating for a few years and have met a few successful laid back men who don't have anything left to prove... but it's hard.... I travel out west frequently and find the men to be much more laid back with similar values... once my kids leave home I'll move out west pay cash for a house and live happily ever after with people who wake up grateful for life and who don't judge..

good luck

Wow, are you me?! (Except for the house part.)

Funny. If you have to ask... Turned down lots of DC suitors like you OP. One, I regret. Broaden your circles and you'll find her... Maybe? Persistence isn't futile.

REI in College Park; animal welfare fundraisers (volunteers). Actually, just be useful and volunteer; maybe you will also meet someone.

or looking for A MAN to take care of her. It's easy to be a free spirit on someone else's dime.

I'm in Frederick. There's some of what you describe here, especially near downtown.

Move to Boulder, Austin, Portland (either one), or Irvine/Santa Cruz. They abound there.

Curious about this too. Why would the OP's ideal manic pixie dream goddess be interested in an uptight suit?
