Yes, then he'll find capri pants wearing Trump supporters with helmet hair.

Good answer.

What a silly comment. You obviously haven't been out in the suburbs. There are lots of the type you describe, OP, it rarely coincides with the HHI required to live in/near the city.

Bingo!

Given OP's use of harpies. I strongly suspect he's a MRA type also known as a****boi. He doesn't want to deal with having a relationship with a grown up. He just wants to play and have fun all day. Which id great when you are 20 something.
But I also suspect he'll be fine being the 40 year old constantly dating 20 somthings.

This is me, minus the weed and odd string of jobs. I want to know where I'm supposed to hang out too, because I need new friends!

I'm from the Pacific Northwest and am intimately familiar with the type of girl you are looking for, and you'd be hard pressed to find her in DC. Ask yourself - other than being a college undergraduate, why would "Dakota" live here in DC? The cost of living is sky high, there are no real mountains for skiiing or hiking, and it's a government company town.

Unless you're looking for a trust fund baby, but again, why would that person be living in DC? The arts scene isn't nearly as good as NYC, so if you have the $$$ to live anywhere, and that's your jam, why live in DC?

I mean, I love DC and am happy to live here, but I'm also not the type you are looking for.

If you don't know where these types hang out, clearly you are not that type yourself, so why do you think they'd be interested in you???

+10000, also the PP who asked whether OP was basically looking for a partner that would make HIMSELF more interesting is right. Also, I'm curious about OP's age, because he sounds like he's looking for an undergrad.

Im always called a hippie by my cowoekers and friends. I have no idea why I give off that vibe. I guess if you are unto the outdoors peole say that? I do have long curly, unruly hair, am casual, and love to hike out and dry camp. I get around primarily on my bike. Most of my entertainment is seeking out great alternative bluegrass bands. Im a beer drinker and love craft beers Seeing Kaleo Friday night at 930.

I do have a career though and live in the suburbs. I'd hate living in the city. If i could makr a living in Charlottesville, I'd be there in a second.

+1, I am similar to the girl you describe and I have discovered that I am kind of rare, but they are out there ....Widespread Panic was just in town at the Warner Theater and you can bet I was there for both shows and it was packed w/ these kinds of folks (my tribe, haha). I am going to assume a few of them lived in DC too! If you don't mind me asking, what is your age?

30 - looking 25-32 is my range.

And this is where you'll find Yoga District.

Rhode Island Ave. in Bloomingdale has a few hole in the wall spots that you might enjoy - Boundary Stone/Public House, that Mexican place that opened next to it, and also Showtime (SUPER small hole in the wall with the most hip of the hipsters and cheap drinks - the one time I went they had a pop up pho dinner thing). There's also Big Bear coffee shop in the same neighborhood around Florida and R.

I miss living in Bloomingdale for all of these reasons, but I don't miss the crime.
