There have been tons and tons of news stories about how effectively ISIS is using social media platforms to recruit people from abroad. They are jumping around on Facebook and Twitter accounts, plus P2P encrypted messaging services like Telegram, video streaming services, etc. faster than the companies can shut them down. It's like whack-a-mole. You think people are trying to go off to Syria and join ISIS because they met a terrorist at a Starbucks in Woodbridge? No, everything is online.

So, we can we call Isis what it is?

They are killing in the name of what they perceive to be Islam. It may not be the most accurate interpretation of the religion but it is one interpretation. A very evil one at that. I think it's just strange to not say Islamic extremists or Islamic terrorism. Call it what it is! Everyone says Timothy McVeigh was a 'right-wing terrorist' but if you're following Obama's line of thinking isn't that an insult then to anyone that is right-wing?
