Soccer - avoid Kids Pro Soccer

I can't say enough wonderful things about Whitney Minnis. He runs a U8 academy that just started, probably not too late to sign up. He actually teaches kids the skills they need to develop into a soccer player and he does it in a very fun way, the kids love it.

Here's the website.

I guess we were lucky, my son had classes with KidsPro for 3 sessions (coach Louie and coach JoJo) and the classes were great.....

I never had to ask for refund, but we have had WONDERFUL experience with Kids Pro Soccer. This is my third child coach Marcel is teaching and he is so great with the little kids, I can not say a bad thing about the company. The office went out of their way to accommodate our numerous make-ups.
They are very good at what they do and lots of schools are using them for that reason.

I can't speak highly enough of the program run at Linway park in McLean. Coach Rudolfo has great way in connecting with the kids (3-5) and offer well balanced program both soccer specific training and general physical development. The kids, enjoy the sessions tremendously and coach Rudolfo has been nothing but courteous with the parents.

The same here. We are taking a class in Alexandria on Mondays with my two older children with coach Cassey and she is amazing how she motivates the kids. My 2 year old ate attends a class on Saturday morning in Old Town and has coach Marcel and my son is in love with him. There is an older group with a female coach that seems to be great too.
I also have to say that the KPS office was very accommodating with our make-ups, and they definitely gave us a personal attention. Based on my experience, I would very much recommend Kids Pro Soccer Programs.

I was really nervous after reading these reviews, but we loved coach Marcel. He was so funny and engaging with our young boys. Always on time and extremly courteous to parents.

Me too!! I am so impressed with this company though. They have really good coaching staff. We are having our 20 months old in parent and me class in Arlington and I could not imagine before that this could be so much for her and us! Coach Marcel is superb with the group and parents and kids love him!

I'm sure there are a bunch of you taking the class in Rose Park. There are 50 kids for 2 coaches. It's horrible.

We are at Rose and love it. My kids really enjoy it.

We also have had a great experience with Kids Pro Soccer. The teachers are great and my kids love it. We attend at a park right near our house on Sat morning. We haven't had any administrative issues with the classes-- although it seems that they have more clearly clarified on their website that they don't issue refunds-- so perhaps that has helped when people initially sign up. I know much of the critique of KPS was several years old- but we've had a very positive experience and plan to keep using them.

We have had a wonderful experiences with kids pro soccer as well. My older son taking Wednesday class with his friends and it is the best sport experience for him thus far and we have tried a few....My younger daughter attends a Saturday class with coach Marcel and couldn't be more happier. She was not able to attend half of the sessions as she broke her arm at her school, and KPS office had offered a credit for the next session! I thought that was going out of their way to accommodate us. Great company to deal with.

I was considering Kids Pro, because the Stone Ridge location is convenient for me. I was even going to consider it after reading the negative comments on this thread, because this thread was originally started some years ago. Then I read through the rest of the thread to the end, complete with post after post of total sock puppeting ending just last week. The tell was that someone mentioned Rose Park and the next post was about...how great they loved Rose Park. I am getting the firm sense now that "Marcel" is a rather unethical fellow. Looks like I will be driving out to SAM at Soccerplex instead.

Sportplex is horrible. Dirty, poor instructions and organization. We used them last year and stopped coming as my daughter refused to participate.
I am glad you have mentioned the Stone Ridge location. It's so close to us. I thought that Kids pro soccer did only outdoors, but that sounds great. I have no worries about the program as our school have been using them since my older daughter was 3 which was 7 years ago...

I have four children, and all have done soccer with Coach Marcel. I'm sorry your experience was line that, I'm shocked! I think Coach Marcel is wonderful with children and mothers. I can't believe what I'm reading.

I'll second that! OMG!
This is unreal. I have been running a class through my kids' private school for the third year and ALL parents are raving about the quality of Kids Pro Soccer program. We had Coach Marcel and many others through the years and they have been truly loved by the children and parents.
