Why stop there. Violent rhetoric is responsible for a lot of violence. I feel need a license and a permit to run their own website. Plus if you want a social media account, you should register and apply with the government in order to do that. All meetings of over two people in one place should also require a special permit to ensure mental capabilities. We have to keep those Cray Crays from spewing their hate speech. I also think we should require Soecial permits for journalist. No websites/media/radio shows unless all journalist staff have been permitted and have had psyche evals |
I love that idea. All non firearms holders have to wear a little decal, that way we all know they're safe. It's like the star-belly sneetches |
| Increase the cost of bullets to $100 each - that would significantly reduce gun violence. |
Aaaaanndd as quick as that, the black market for ammo arrives |
And there you have it. Anonymous internet poster accuses 2nd anonymous internet poster of being a bad parent because the 1st internet poster thinks he can teach a 3-year old that a gun is not a toy. Good luck with that. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/3-year-old-killed-in-accidental-shooting-in-paulding-county/242979569 |
Or...like a responsible parent, keep dangerous objects away from your kid. Once again, sorry not sorry I'm a better parent and my kids are smarter than your kids. |
Yes, if it has to do with the impact of your lifestyle on your health, doctors should ask. Your answer is up to you. I don't answer all of my doctor's questions either. |
Serious question: if you really want to keep your gun/s, why do you find the idea of letting everyone know you have a gun offensive? Or putting licensing requirements in place to ensure you're a responsible gun owner? |
So does driving s car, yet they don't ask that |
Why don't you just put the decal on your home stating you're waving your 2nd Amendment rights? |
Okay, but how many gun owners are NOT good parents and don't have smart kids? http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/06/us/guns-children-deaths.html?_r=0 |
There are lots of requirements to ensure that you're a responsible driver. Sure some people aren't, but those requirements make it a lot less likely you're going to be run down by a person who decides it's his constitutional right to start driving on sidewalks. The high rate of gun deaths is a public health crisis - that's something that doctors are supposed to help fix. Again, I'm wanting to know why it's so intolerable to let people know you're a gun owner. |
I don’t have any problem letting people know I am a gun owner. However, I do not wish to be included in some government database. |
Why? Isn't having a gun (or 10 or 20 or 50) the main objective? Ownership comes with responsibilities with countless other possessions. Why shouldn't responsibility apply to ownership of a weapon that could allow a 2-year-old to kill their mother while she's driving? http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/28/us/a-toddler-a-loose-gun-in-a-car-and-a-mother-dies.html Apparently, the child was not in a restraint. Something we have laws about. Because it keeps people safe. Doesn't mean you can't have a child. Or a car. It just means you have to be responsible. |
Your "I'm better than you," attitude is what makes you dangerous. We don't even know each other. But most people I do know that have your attitude are overconfident and underperforming. So, if anything, you've convinced me even more that people like you need protection from yourselves. Sorry, deal with it and don't take it personally. |
