| Are there any policy or cultural changes you think could take place to significantly reduce gun violence that does not include gun control? Please share. |
|
Easy!
Put violent criminals in prison and keep them there regardless of any outcry about "disparity". Close the borders, deport all illegals. If you think people are going to give up their guns when Democrats are determined to let criminals out of prison and are flooding the country with violent Third Worlders, you need to think again. |

What are policy changes, if not a form of gun control?
[which I support strongly] |
Do you support gun control? |
|
Of course! Who wants people killed???
Put more cops on the street. Create summer programs to keep teens busy while school is out. Fund the shot tracker technology for more communities. Provide education and incentives for the safe storage of weapons in the home. More aggressive action on domestic violence cases, including counseling services. Fund education programs for children to reduce accidental shootings. Who on earth wouldn't do this?? |
| Make it mandatory for civilians to wear bulletproof vests in major metropolitan cities. |
| I think until everyone personally knows someone who has been shot, nothing will be done about gun control. |
These are some great ideas. I support all of them and gun control. |
Yes. Reverse the well-intended but failed policies that led to the mentally ill not being institutionalized. |
And yes, I support gun control. |
NRA should fund these things instead of filling politicians pockets. |
| Push for the development of futuristic weapons such as tasers and stun guns and force gun manufacturers to only make those available to the public. |
I agree mental illness is the problem, just not sure of the solution. Mentally healthy people, by definition, do not shoot other people except in self defense. |
Can't hunt deer/bear/elk/moose/caribou/turkey/goose/duck with stun guns. |
| Impose restrictions on media (music/film/television) making it illegal for them to depict gun violence thus indirectly promoting it. |
