I remember in 1983 hearing him singing about 1999 and thinking that year was so far away I couldnt even think about it. His music reminds me of being young in the summer and tuning into MTV to watch his video "When Doves Cry" every 3 hours since it was in heavy rotation. Oh youth!!!

That one works, thanks. Isn't Prince a Jehovah Witness, which would make sense to have religious issues with certain medical treatments. A good friend was a JW and she refused a blood transfusion that would have saved her life based on her religious issues.

I'm not one to follow gossip and I'm emotionally done by his passing - so I'm searching for an explanation, but that story really has a ring of truth to it.
And I hope to God if its true - that the truth about it comes out - it could help somebody.

Help them how, if it is against their religion, and that is what they choose, that is their choice.

If the Blind Item were in fact Prince, how could he go from active to dead in a matter of days, with AIDS?

He was seen out riding a bicycle just a couple of days ago, after his plane's emergency landing.

Besides a heart attack, what could progress that insanely fast??

Doesn't untreated AIDS in fact sometimes progress insanely fast? And he had been untreated for a while.

I was feeling so blue, and decided I needed to watch this. I couldn't stop laughing. Thanks for posting and giving a respite moment to laugh. I will always love Prince. Think I'll go dig into the albums and pull out Purple Rain (no CD....this is an album moment).

My cousin just died of AIDS related illness - he had the flu which turned into pnemonia which took his life. It was a matter of weeks.

You have to sign up for a free trial if you want to even access anything on it, which I just did because I wanted to listen to some of his music. I was just telling my husband that I have to laugh, even as sad as I am, because Prince is making everyone sign up Tidal now. I only found out about it because I had lots of Prince on my itunes playlist and then one day it was gone! Checking around and sure enough, found a news item about how he wants it all on Tidal. I was wondering if that will still continue to be the case, or if his estate will put it out on other avenues now. I feel bad for even thinking about it right now, but honestly I do wonder.
