Announcing a runner up as a way to announcing the winner is just too complicated these days.

If this actually wasn't on purpose, it does show that the Oscars may have the right idea to include two announcers.

I don't think it was on purpose. Steve Harvey looks so utterly foolish and I don't think he would do that to himself on purpose. Then he spelled the countries of the two contestants wrong on twitter - he'd know how to spell the names if this had been a planned publicity stunt with a planned twitter apology.

You do know people of of varying ethnicities can, in fact, be born and raised in different countries don't you?

hahaha! That was so bad! I find it hilarious! That is such a silly pagent, a throwback from the 20th century. It's time to hang that up. Wow, I just can't imagine how the two contestants feels now. It was televised for all to see.

The poor countries are over represented because the rest of the world has moved on. Women have real jobs now. The mix race do not represent those countries. They just don't have enough real woman going for that trash pageants. Miss Japan was not even real Japanese. Too funny.

The cherry on top was when Steve Harvey tweeted an apology where he misspelled Colombia and Philippines. The tweet has since been removed.

What is a real Japanese? A real Frenchman? Just because they are minorities, they don't belong?

My children are biracial. Are they not real Americans? We come from a military family but since we are not blonde haired and blue eyed, we could never represent the U.S. as "real" in some PPs minds.

Miss America looks like she is 41 and has lived a rough, hard life that she is trying to cover up with extensions, heavy make up, and botox. At least she is representative of her country.
