I'm 39. I'm a teacher. Based on the current salary scale I can never make more than 100k. But I'm assuming that since the highest I can make on my scale right now is 99k (Masters + 30 with 29 years experience) that that should eventually shift a bit as salary scales are adjusted for inflation which happens every couple of years. So I predict about...10 years from now I might be making 100k? That might be a bit aggressive. It may be more like 12 years or so.
But I love my job. I don't need to be super rich. I just want to be able to afford a home which is super tough for a teacher around here. |
