At our very high end preschool they do for snack - drives me bananas |
| Wow, I can't believe that people care what other 2 year old kids are wearing. Really, what's it to you? I guess you'd really disapprove of the day I sent my 2 year old son to school in his Nine Inch Nails shirt. |
Actually no, that is cool. A Spiderman t-shirt is tacky. |
OP asked. People answered. No mystery. And you aren't exactly shocking us with your rebel soul, PP. |
|
I buy all our kids clothes used so they're cheap and easily replaceable.
That said I make sure they're always well dressed. Both DS and DD wear nice clothes to school that are still comfortable. Usually a bright solid color top with comfortable nice looking bottom socks and closed shoes. DS wears polo shirts or button down shirts. They're all $2-3 at goodwill so he has every single color of the rainbow and I don't care if they get ruined. Also he wears button down shirts with solid Ts underneath. He likes the looks and they're comfortable too. He's 3. |
You are overpaying - you can get clothing new at those prices. |
I'd prefer that but its not shocking in the slightest. Many of us do that... my kid had all kinds of fun van shoes, especially the flame ones. |
NP here and no she could never find new quality clothing at those prices. PP is smart! |
Bullshit. I buy shirts at the Gymboree outlet for $1.50 - $3 and Ralph Lauren Polo shirts at Macy's for less than $5. Learn how and WHEN to shop! |
Humm... yes, that is what I pay for Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Gap and Old Navy.. still sometimes do. Just got tons of Gap for $2-4 each new at the store. |
Well, i don't have time to keep browsing sales and outlets and keep coupons so I prefer to do a few trips down the road to goodwill. And I doubt you can get RL or J&J for that price anyway. If you get lucky and find the color of the day tag it's $1.29. I doubt you can buy nice brands for that price. |
Not a fan of those brands so its a non-issue but I just hit the stores or online and pay a few dollars and buy the next size, two or three up as well. Who wants worn out stained clothing when you can get new for 60 cents more. I don't do outlets. Not worth it. |
So you buy Ralph Lauren polo shirts for $1.89 new online? LOL Yeah right.... And if you're careful enough to look at them before purchasing you don't get old worn clothes. You even get NWT ones. |
| This thread has become nauseating. These poor kids have a lifetime of judgement coming up as they grow into adulthood. They don't need a complex at the age of two because you think their spiderman tshirt is tacky. |
Oh, stop! The judgement isn't on the child - it is on the parent. That could not have been made clearer but those of us who dislike sloppy, lazy clothes like sweatpants and cartoon t-shirts for school. Home and play - fine. School - no. |
