People who just refuse to eat leftovers.

Anonymous
I don't like eating leftovers for dinner. There's something nice about a fresh new meal after the end of a long day. I just can't come home from work and the gym to some re-heated lasagna I had the night before.

But, we do use leftovers as lunches. DH and I work from home most of the time, so it's really easy to heat up dinner from the night or two before.

I also freeze things such as individually wrapped leftover lasagna slices or individual portions of stew so I don't get tired of eating something all at once.

I hate wasting food I spent good money on and it seems environmentally unfriendly.

I've never heard of such a thing. If someone told me that I think I would look at them like they had two heads.

OP, my husband won't eat leftovers. He wasn't raised very wealthy or very poor. Don't understand why he's so picky.

Some leftovers taste better the next day. Lasagna is one of them

Growing up in the 70s/80s my mom did not have a job outside the home. My dad expected my mom to cook a fresh meal every night. No leftovers. The exception was Thanksgiving and Christmas. When I go to my parents house for visits...it's still the same way.

This is my husband. He flat-out refuses to eat anything with chicken that isn't cooked fresh. He's not nasty about it and would genuinely rather make himself a cheese sandwich than eat a roast chicken from yesterday. Used to drive me mad. Vegetables are OK occasionally.

Because his parents let him

I don't do leftovers.

It's not our fault. Lobster tail and prime rib just don't heat up properly. So we usually let the staff take home the leftovers once they finish the dishes.

Or you can cook a paltry amount of food for a family of six including athletic teenagers and never have any leftovers.

I hate people who won't eat leftovers. Wasteful, stupid pweshus little jerks.

I won't eat leftovers mainly because as a kid there were six of us so we had leftovers a lot and now I'm just sick of them

My DH grew up poor and rarely eats leftovers.

Me and my family will eat leftovers. Me more so than my DH. I am the main cook, so I often try to cook enough to get a couple of meals out of a dish. I try to be creative in reinventing the second meal, say a roasted chicken, then quesadillas with same chicken. My main goal is not to waste but also not to be in the kitchen cooking every single night.

I usually distribute my extra food. So, if I cook more than we need (happens all the time), my neighbors get that food.

We cook and entertain a lot. If I am cooking for a dinner party, some dishes I will make extras (like desserts) and then call my friends over for tea/coffee etc., the next day or so. If I bake extra cookies, I will invite my kids friends for a playdate and serve those. We have friends that drop over after dinner for drinks and munchies and it is very rarely that I do not have something in the fridge that I cannot serve with confidence.
