| Why is this thread being revived. The same is true for every big 3 school. Ncs is no different no better no worse. |
2011 placed 22% in to Ivies+Stanford,Duke, MIT |
Not sure why this thread is back but you may want to visit the NCS Facebook page and see where their 2016 graduates are going for college. Multiple girls to Yale and Stanford among other schools. Very impressive for a class of 75 or so. |
My DD will be a part of this group as a incoming freshman. We are excited and do not think the 92/95 students will be an issue. The class of 2020 has an increase population of females for some reason. Other privates in the area experienced a record number of female applicants, my daughter was lucky to receive two acceptance from all girl schools. She was wait-listed by a top rated coed and top all girl school. Both waitlisted schools' admission response included receiving a record number of qualified female applicants. The waitlisted all girl school had accepted too many girls in class of 2019 and 2021, therefore reducing the spots for incoming 2020 girls. |
Class of 2016 has 26% going to above schools |

My concern is that moving from 70 something per grade to 95 will likely have a negative impact on college placement, at least for the first large group that graduates (not sure if 95 per grade will become the norm). Did the large jump in class size accompany a similar increase in the size of the college placement office staff? The college placement for recent classes is impressive. I think it's unlikely colleges will increase their admissions of NCS students by 30+% right away. Maybe over time if the class size is maintained, but doubtful for the first super sized class that graduates.

| You make a good point. College placement would be a legitimate concern. |
95 is an anomaly. They had a huge yield for this particular admissions cycle (class of 2019). Not the norm for future classes so not an issue really. |
