Feel kinda bad but why does the Pioneer woman irk me so?

Then her acting she really is a pioneer woman doing it all, meanwhile it appears she has LOTS of help...PLEASE. I think her show has had more than its share of the 15 min of fame.
Plus her recipes are a joke, is she even considered a "real" chef?

No. She's literally a failed actress.

To me, she’s disturbingly creepy.

Curtis Sittenfeld had a good short story about a character that’s a lot like the Pioneer Woman…

Is she still around? Haven't heard much talk about Ree Drummond lately. Remember when her blog made a big splash back around 2007-2008. I read the blog for a few years because I liked the writing style but rarely made anything from it because it really wasn't my kind of food, and when she started her Food network show I thought how she presented herself on TV didn't match the tongue in cheek familiarity of her blog so I never kept watching it.

At the same time I don't get the weird stalkerish type of hatred she gets that I read in some of the posts. It was always obvious from day 1 that Ree Drummond is wealthy, that she has help, that as a working ranch family they still are very active on the ranch, that her recipes, which I remember plenty being credited to so and so family member's church cookbook, are midwestern/western fare with a bit of a modern twist. And a lot are recipes that really don't need to be "credited" because there's a thousand variations of the same recipe in church or community cookbooks all over the country.

If Pioneer Woman is tapping into consultants to improve her performance or market her food or style her show, she is not doing anything different from any other successful blogger or influencer or TV cook.

I really like her writing: blog posts, recipe book, etc.

But she doesn’t not resonate well on TV
