Why is the gap on Madonna's front teeth widening?

Britney has this happening too

With comments like these it's no wonder older celebs end up getting so much work done.

It's just normal with aging.

Looks like French actress/singer Vanessa Paradis (who was far too cool for Johnny Depp anyway).

First, to the PP who referred to Madonna as a woman in her 50s, she is 65!!! But she has looked jacked for quite some time due to all her crazy procedures.

2). I don’t have any tooth gaps but getting Invisalign as a 51 yr old to correct a crossbite. Had braces many decades ago but never fixed the bite completely which was an underbite then.

Teeth shift over time. I am 54 and have Invisalign to try to move my teeth back and have been told that if I do not wear a retainer for the rest of my life, they will shift again. I could see why a singer would not want something in their mouth to correct thier teeth (even with Invisalign you have hooks attached to your teeth).

It’s pretty cruel making fun of how someone ages.

Diastema between the top front teeth is a genetic thing in some families - I have one but it was corrected by braces in my youth. However, I lost my retainer many years ago and during perimenopause/menopause my teeth began floating (common at this stage of life) and the gap returned and is now bigger than ever.

I don’t think Madonna’s is fake; she’s always had it and it’s more noticeable in advancing age because of float and also because the gums often recede as we age as well.

Why does it bother you so much?

Ra genetic and one of my parents has a gap and so did my grandparent. It widens as time goes on naturally. I think madonnas is not fake at all - her gap is widening naturally as I have seen on many people before. I think it gives her something different.

Nooooo, in most cultures if you are born with teeth in your head you are considered a monster baby.

Bwahahaha! Especially by your breastfeeding mother!!!!

It’s typically been a sign of promiscuity. At least it was in Chaucer’s time in the English Middle Ages. One character had a gap and that’s what it meant.

It was probably a front lip tie, which are genetic. They correct those now to help with breastfeeding. My kids all fell and broke theirs at like 18m. As soon as it broke the teeth immediately went together.

Dh and I had braces as teens. We’ve worn retainers ever since. Don’t most people wear a retainer every night? We’re 40.

Teeth shift with age. I'm 5 years younger than Madonna and I just noticed mine starting to shift around in the last couple of years.

Many reasons are possible, bone regresses with age, drug use or bulimia. Pick your poison

This thread was started in 2015.

If only the 2015 posters could see what she looks like now.
