Yeah thats why I'm surprised to hear this! He has such a diva rep. But he was friendly to you each time. Maybe he had a little crush on you or something... |
SO jealous. I have always had the biggest crush on Brandon. He seems very smart, too. |
Rode on a people mover, sat in front of on plane and handed leather backpack to Kenny Loggins.
I basically met him halfway across the sky, on the highway to the danger zone. Didn't get to cut loose and Footloose with him though. |
Oprah, Steadman (does he count as a celebrity)?
Bonnie Hunt Michael Jordan John Wayne Ed Azner Andy Rooney Jack Nicholson Neil Patrick Harris Mick Jagger and Keith Richards I sat next to several of them at plays, met some at parties, sat with a couple on airplanes and talked to them. Met Mick and Keith after a concert back in the day. Can you tell I am an older DCUM reader?? All were nice. None of them were jerks in anyway. |
OMG! What are Oprah and Steadman like? Specially Oprah? And can you tell me about Jack and Neil? And Mick and Keith- wow! Need to know about them! |
Dave Matthews while waiting in line to board a flight in Pittsburgh. He was really nice and laid back.
Tom Brady playing blackjack in Vegas -- so so hot, but I'm from NE. Don King, also in Vegas. Ted Kennedy at a dog park. He had on a jacket with his name on it and was driving a mini van --my mom was with me and was beside herself - again, I'm from NE. Dana Carvey at Tom's Diner in LA |
Paul Newman. I am from CT, and he lived in my hometown for many, many years until he passed away. I worked at a gourmet food market there (similar to "Balducci's.") I sold him a pecan pie, and on another occasion I recommended fresh peaches for him to sample. He was very nice. I had seen many other famous people at this store, too- Jessica Tandy, David Letterman.... |
Lauren Bacall. At a book singing after a small presentation at college.
INXS member. The least attractive one. Not Michael Hutchence. Attended their sound check for Kick tour when they played at my college in 1987. He came over to talk to me and likely was hitting on me. I (now famously) rebuffed him and it went no further. Modern English. The whole band. A friend knew their manager and took me back stage at 9:30 Club. I just stood there and stared at them and got one guy's autograph that my mom promptly tossed the next day. They had goth ladies sitting on their laps. Everyone seemed stoned out of out of their minds, except for me. |
Yes, I can tell b/c John Wayne died in 1979. (BTW, it's Ed Asner.) |
Let me put a good word in for Vince Vaughn.....
My friends were at a bar, early 2000s in Baltimore, and Vince was there. They were trying to get up the nerve to approach him and needed some convincing.....really, no idea why they then called me, but I did convince them to walk over to him. But, when my friend got close to him she freaked out, yelled his name, and then handed him her cell and walked away! So he got on the cell and asked me what the hell just happened. I explained, we laughed about it, and then he asked me why I was not at the bar (studying) and we talked about school. It was at least a 15 minute conversation. Very nice guy who handled an odd situation very well.... |
Chali 2na was just hanging near the soundboard before a J5 show. I talked to him for a minute. Nice guy. |
I have met him on 2 separate occasions - had very positive experiences both times. I commuted from SF to LA for work for a few years and saw him pull into the Marriot near LAX. I opened his trunk and gave Dodger swag to all the guys who worked at the valet parking area. It was so nice to see. |
I was visiting Williams college over the summer and there are always quite a few celebrities there for summer theater. One visit I ran into David Hyde Pierce 3 times in one day. The friend who I was with asked him to stop following us ![]() |
Cheech Marin shopped at the same grocery store I did in San Francisco. I saw him a few times a year there. Always super nice to the people who worked there. |
Lame if you didn't smoke with him. |
