It was a stupid decision that will always leave them a bit suspect.

Not suspect as much as stupid but yes.

Yes, seriously. You don't need to be "equipped" to hold a public lottery. I've seen the slips of paper lottery and it's a pretty big stretch to think that was too difficult for CM to pull off.

Not sure what you posters are rambling about, but I was the CM public lottery last year.

Yes, this was in years past. They did not have an open lottery, contrary to law.

People should get over things from years past. Focus on investigation of current corruption.

I generally agree but with sibling preference the effects of their non-public lottery live on....

Current corruption? Exactly how? I doubt highly that CM cherry picks. The make-up of my child's class is very diverse and I doubt a school would cherry pick a child like mine who needs an aide and lots of therapy hours if they could help it.

Not PP, but didn't CM not have public lotteries until this year? If you don't hold public lotteries as mandated by PCSB, how has it been "debunked" that CM wasn't cherry picking?

It is patently false and unfair to keep stating either as fact or repeating a rumor that CM did not have public lotteries until this year. I applied to the school in 2012 and still have an email from them stating when and where the lottery would be held and that families were invited to attend but not required to do so.

Nobody said there wasn't a public lottery until last year. They said there was no public lottery "in years past." I don't know what years they held a public lottery, but it certainly wasn't every year. Don't get all prickly.

CM is all of 3 yrs old. So if they had a public lottery in 2012, 2013 and 2014, then they have had them all the yrs of their existence.

Here's one of the threads on Creative Minds. A skim of it shows that people who asked about the public lottery were either told that there was no interest or that they didn't need to hold one.

A skim noted that this was a rumor and then someone said they were told no public lottery. If this had really happened I am sure the general public would have heard about the PCSB investigating and/or reprimanding the school.

The school has only has 3 years of lotteries, and the first year was the opening year where people didn't even really know it was a school. Don't just spread rumors you know nothing about. They don't have lots of past years and you are just making up things.

Oh, so people said that on an anonymous site so it must be true? Jesus, I really worry about people like you. Use your critical thinking skills.
