And are entering the lottery again (I am) which school are you applying for?
I've been at my HRCS for a few years and I'm lotterying for Yu Ying. We know we have no chance, but figured why not try. Wed be very happy to stay at our school which we love. |
| And I know this is answered in 50 other places, but if you are just throwing a hallelujah pass on one or two schools, you do NOT have to put your current school on your myschooldc list, correct? |
| You just re-enroll via your school. You do not need to relottery. |
| HRCS and only applying to Deal feeders. Even if we got in, not sure if we would accept. |
OP her . That's how I feel about YY. |
Same here only because Deal feeders don't offer language immersion. |
+1 but we are not interested in immersion |
But that re-enrollment is after the lottery takes place, right? |
I already reenrolled at our MRCS (medium regarded charter school), but will be playing the lottery for 2-3 "dream" schools. |
LOL at the new acronym. So, what schools are MRCS? I'd think schools like Bridges and EL Haynes. |
MRCS: Bridges Appletree Stokes (has recently fallen from HRCS imo) Haynes CAPCS ? DC prep Bethune Sela Shining Stars Any others? |
|
DC Prep is a HRCS
Just b/c you are not as familiar with the program does not make it "M" |
While one campus may do well, I was basing off of DCUM feedback and popularity via lottery buzz. |
Appletree and Haynes are HRCS. Bethune is PRCS (poorly regarded charter school). |
It's all opinion people. AT is highly regarded as a good back up school because many get it. Haynes could go either way but with recent decline in scores, many in my circle would call it MRCS. |
