I am a DW and I would be upset as well. If you were having money issues and needed to find somewhere to cut expenses, then I can explain a "cable discussion." It would really be a budget discussion where cable was one of the targets.

But here it sounds like there is no money issue, the DW just thinks cable is a waste of money. She asked her DH, he said he wanted to keep it and then she goes and cancels it anyway. Wow.
