Sounds like you have some issues. I think she was trying to teach you a lesson about personal responsibility. Obviously, you're still learning it if you're stuck on her being "bitchy and selfish." |

"OP here--I really, really don't think it was a mistake not to drive them--but I did feel guilty that they would be slopping around school in wet pants"
Oh, brother! |
| ALL of OP's kids refused to dress properly? Must be gifted ... |
Who knows/ Teens are not as smart as you think. Anyways, , you phrased it in such a way to make it obvious! But what if the message is "If you make a bad decision, you deal with it"? That is what I said in my earlier post that the OP should make sure that is not the message she is sending. |
hahahah, ha. Can't win with some people. Do you even have kids? And did you have them this century? Never mind. It always seems simple when it's not happening to you and your buttons aren't being pushed. |
Ok, Mrs. General Patton. |

Our preschool went out and played in the rain and look for worms.
It is rain. Not a tornado. I am not saying don't ever drive them but if you said no and they didn't prepare, good for you for not giving in We have a bus stop up the street any on days there is drizzle, 70% drive up 4-9 houses so their snowflakes can jump out of the car and onto the bus. Pathetic |

Not only that, but I'll pick him up too! It's pouring rain out and I don't want him to get soaked/sick.

| I'll be waiting at the bus stop this afternoon! |
Lord have mercy! You do not get sick from getting wet. Seriously. What century is this? |
| We drove our high schooler. Took two full hours. DH has already left for pickup (3:40). |
| This is definitely a drive-your-kid-to-school day. I don't care how you dress, you will end up wet. I wouldn't want to spend all day like that. |
Maybe you and op should get together and carpool. |

DH just called. He's on the G. Washington Parkway having come off the Beltway. He said "This must be a promotion for Noah" - lots of flooding, cars stranded, washouts, etc. Please take your time getting your kids.
