He's been married before. I'd be surprised if the relationship survives the engagement. You know he's getting a vesting prenup. |
Bad posting on my part.
Ian Mckellan, Victor Garber, and late Paul Whitfield all openly gay older men who play(Ed) leading roles. |
Don't forget the Thornbirds??? guy? Richard something? |
The gay older mens are not leading romantics.. and as for Richard something he came out afterwards. |
Yes, I did live in LA where I heard it from several people. Very common knowledge there that a lot of actors believed to be straight are gay because they hit on waiters, massesuses (etc. .. ) Never heard anything about Warren Beatty. |
Kind of like the day Warren Beatty got engaged to Anne Benning. |
Wonder if this had anything to do with Stacey Kiebler (his most recent ex) running off and getting engaged and pregnant very quickly after their break-up. Not that she meant anything more to GC than any of the others but maybe it was a signal that this lifestyle of his is getting played out and it would be a nice change to settle down.
I don't think he's gay, BTW. I just get the feeling he really doesn't want to be tied down to one person/project/residence. Serial non-committer. |
James Carville got married at 49. Is he gay? I never heard any rumors. Some men wait a while to settle down. It's just the way it is. I know a man who just got married for the first time at age 62. Lots of girlfriends in his past, but never "the one." It happens. |
Not buying. I bet Clooney wouldn't care if he never did at romantic lead role ever again anyway. He has more money than he can ever spend, and he seems much more interested in doing substantive/political roles anyway, which wouldn't be affected by him being "out". I do buy that Travolta and Cruise are gay, but that's because of the Scientology angle. Scientology expressly bills itself as helping you get rid of the parts of yourself you don't like and it also condemns homosexuality. Clooney sure doesn't seem to adhere to any anti-gay religion. Back in ER days, sure, I could see why he's lie about it. But now? IT seems like it would be worth the lost rom-com income just to not have to deal with pretending. He also seems like kind of a "screw you, I'm doing what I want to do" kind of guy, so I couldn't see him choosing to hide gayness if he didn't absolutely have to. But, I really don't care. If he came out tomorrow, it would make no difference to me. I'd think he was a freaking genius to be able to exude that hetero hotness so well for so long! |
No offense, but that's not exactly convincing. OOhhh -- I know a waiter who said Clooney hit on him! Pretty shaky stuff. Plus, you know how much someone could make by selling that story if it is true? And yet you're not seeing that. Now, the travolta stories -- I buy. |
omg Richard Chamberlain, folks! ![]() |
Warren Beatty wasn't the "baby hamsters up the ass" rumor?
|
|
My friend (who lives in LA) was hit on by Travolta in a hotel.
He called me to say this his 15 minutes of fame were about being told he was attractive and having to say no to a Hollywood star. truth

Is he weird? And was able to make a lot of money by his retirement age? |
