Real Estate
Knock on doors, ask other neighbors, see how they respond to you and what they know? |
that doesn't work. if people know a house is for sale, they're not going to say, "well, actually, people are pretty mean here." most people will be polite. |
| Pimmit Hills. Super friendly and not just in a "wave and say hi" kinda way. My neighbors will rally for each other. I've had them come over at 2 am to watch a baby while I took another to the ER. I've had them be at the end of my drive with jumper cables when they heard the "click" of a dead battery. It's pretty awesome. |

Perhaps, but if you take on one PH person, you take on them all. You ready?

We love our Silver Spring neighborhood, so friendly. I had a good feeling about it the first time I drove down the street our house is on, on the way to see the house with a realtor, and people waved hello to us. Somehow that just seemed like a good sign. In fact, when we moved in some of our neighbors brought us baked goods to welcome us. We have block parties and our kids play together. We watch each others' kids too when needed, and sometimes I do a ladies' night out with a couple of neighbors and other times we go out with one or another family to do something fun together. We look out for each others' houses when someone's on vacation, and on occasion one neighbor will look after another neighbor's dog or cat when they're away. And if ever I realize I'm missing an ingredient in the middle of cooking, I know I can just call up someone on the street instead of having to run to the store. |
Classless 22205, I see you've jumped from one thread to another. I'd rather have my PH mob than whatever it is you are. |
Looking at that site I wonder what kind of rallies they have. Do they involve a Grand Wizard? |
| Glover Park, VERY friendly. |
You are embarrassing your entire zip code, Arlington 22205, by being a bully. In a thread about which neighborhoods are friendly. Well done. |
| I love my neighborhood south of Old Town Alexandria. Lots of organized neighborhood events throughout the year. |
| We're in Olney. Very friendly here. There is a very active list serve and a farmers market on Sundays where you always see people you know. |
