OP - I feel for you. My stepdad and his wife have a very high income, travel and speak several languages between them.
But their refrigerator is a nuclear waste site. When you open the door, the smell is ungodly, like rotten fruit and vegetables. There are items with visible mold and salad dressing from 2009 in there. Food is never thrown out, and everything is in randown bowls, with plastic wrap, no labelling at all.

Once they had a dinner party and served rice with weevils in it to the guests. No one noticed except me, and I almost threw up. I try and bring my own food.

At least they wash their clothes and have a cleaner come in every other week.
