I'm in 22042. Neither of those areas. On the map it comes up as "Jefferson" but neither I or anyone I've met in this area has ever heard of that.

This is a good guide.

You could rent a house in Pimmit Hills, the most infamous neighborhood on DCUMs. I live in PH and love it. Very convenient to Arlington too. I can take Old Dominion Road from downtown McLean to Glebe Rd. There's other routes too. Should be a very easy commute, maybe 20 minutes in rush hour I am guessing more or less.

Pimmit Hills is much uglier than most of 22041 or 22044. It resembles the worst parts of 22042.

My sister and I went to Poe and Annandale and we turned out ok. Went to Columbia, UVA and W& M for college/grad school. I think lots of white people are scared of the "diversity" at those schools, unfortunately.
