VENT ALERT: Is anyone THIS different from their in-laws.

It wouldn't even dawn on me to lecture another parent on the appropriate food choices for their children.

Yep. Sounds to me like YOU are the one being judgy, OP. No wonder she doesn't want to be your friend.

Anonymous wrote:Is this a troll? This is a particularly different and exotic lifestyle? OP, you need to see a little more of the world. In the meantime, stop judging and feeling superior about such ridiculous things.

Unless she's coming over to your house at 3 AM and filling your fridge with mustards, waking up your kids to force feed them Big Macs and soda, and flinging your laundry all over the place, what has anything got to do with you?

OP here. thanks for the laugh. seriously. I needed it.

I don't mean to come off as judging, I was just noticing our differences in parenting/life. that's all. She'd probably rather die than live like me. In no way are our "living" differences why we do not really care for one another, but rather, we just don't "mesh." She's nice, just not my type of friend. And I'm not hers. Period.

BTW... in a weird attempt to self improve, would any of you mind pointing out what sounded "superior" on my part? I'd like to think of us as being different, but if I'm coming off as superior here, maybe I'm coming off that way in person. I don't want to offend her in any way.

See now you are backing off. This is what you said before: "I swear, I feel like she would spit on me if she could". Far different tune.
