We purchased a Eddie Bauer bag for our son, paid a little more for it, but he's been using it for 3 years and it's still in the same shape as the day we bought it... Even better, it's guaranteed for life!!!

My 3rd grader is finishing up his 3rd year with his Lands End backpack, and it's still in great shape for next year.

Jansport from Costco. Wide enough for CaseIt binders. Washable in the washing machine. Has taken a lot of abuse but still looks very new. 4 years.

Nice designs too.

Both kids have North Face backpacks and they last years. They don't seem to wear out, they get dirty, but don't tear or fall apart.

My son will be starting 3rd grade and has had his Pottery Barn kids backpack for 3 solid years. It still looks almost new!

Both kids have MadPax. One transhed his in 2 years and needed a replacement. The other kid has had the same backpack for four years and it's in good shape.

So I bought him a bright color Jansport with the suede bottom and it's been very durable and it stands out in a sea of LL Bean backpacks!

Love these. I think mine from high school & college is still up in the attic. I guess it's too big for my Kindergartner
