Maybe some, but my preschooler had a "real" mohawk, shaved sides and everything. It's now a barely-there buzz cut all over, and the little pixie couldn't be happier about her new style for "real" school. |
Shame on you. I can't believe you said "the poors". What's wrong with you? How offensive... as if lower income families aren't able to make competent decisions. FYI... My husband and I earn 400,000+ a year combined, we are not "rednecks" (actually African-American, if you really want to know), and we let our little boy get a very low Mohawk. He did it once, and moved on. And just to let you know, he attends Sidwell with several other boys of several different races, who sport Mohawks from day to day. Bottom line, you are wrong. |
| Anybody who uses the term "poors" is obviously very insecure and sadly defines their self worth with a $. Great example of how money can't buy everything. |
| My 7 year old wanted one because his best friend had one. He chose a faux style without shaving the sides, he said he didn't want to look too crazy! |
yep! |
| I think they look like total garbage on kids. I’m sure it’s because of a little boy who once lived near me. He always smelled of urine, was dirty, in dirty clothes with food always on his face. The parents were trash. Now when I see a Mohawk on a little kid all I see are those trashy people and that poor boy. |
Because they want to. Get a life. |
|
OP and her friends are such losers.
I make well over $1MM, went to schools DCUM salivates over, and have a happy and loving marriage. My kid wanted a Mohawk once. He loved it. It looked really cute. He moved on. Another DC once wanted blue hair so we did that. Why do you care? Kids who can’t even imagine something as “wild” as a Mohawk grow up to be bitter, spiteful people who criticize children’s haircuts on the internet for amusement. |
So were you just googling “mohawks on kids” at 2 am? Because how else on earth did you find this thread from 2013 |
| Super trashy |
| Another boy at the ES got one and my son wanted one too. Originally, my answer was no. Eventually, I agreed to let him get one, and took him on a Thursday after school to get a mohawk. He wore it to school on Friday, his sport on Saturday, and church on Sunday. Sunday afternoon we went back to the barber for a buzz cut. Win-win, kid got his mohawk and was happy, and not only did I not have to live with it for very long, he got it out of his system and didn't feel the need to do it later |
| weird that so many "forbidden" words are posted in here why is it that some can used them and some can't? |
Because it’s an ancient thread from before those words were banned. |
Which culture? It's not dreads on a white boy. |

I can't think of a thread that warrants the following response more than this one:
Unclench. |
