Wow! I wish I wasn't in the 40-somethings. I'm sure you are making someone very happy though!!

Plus maybe not all parents care if their kids can read to learn, you know? There are other things in life.

STFU and stop ruining the thread. This is to HELP parents anxious to figure things out. You aren't adding anything to the discussion. Your point is taken. Now move on.

(new pp here) But this thread is supposed to be about "hot" schools, not those with questionable (at best) performance. If you need to STFU someone, please do so to the pps inserting schools no one is asking about.

When are you going to tell them? Please do it soon! We would love to know that our kid gets in and we are close to the top of the waitlist....

Whatever. The PP above critical of Marie Reed was rude and obnoxious. That nasty attitude is always worthy of a resounding "STFU".

And Marie Reed is obviously "hot" as PPs were excited to hear the news as they were far down on the WL.

In DCPS you have to do it for Pre-S and Pre-K.

I'm not 'you can quote me' PP. I'm the one who will give up the seat at Murch.

Now that the Yu Ying results are up, if this poster is real, I'd been interested in knowing if they got in and thus will be giving up with DCPS Murch spot?

I wouldn't hold your breath unfortunately. There were other issues with this poster's veracity, so the fact that they're holding at Murch is doubtful as well. And regardless of whether they actually got in or not, they may well say they did, but do you really want to trust that?

Just curious -- did you DD have any say in the decision? Where are you sending her to?

Bump. Now that a lot of charter acceptances are out...

Here we go again...they do give it, but only for Mandarin-speaking kids on the waitlist, and you can quote me on that. Don't bother, Chinese dad, if your IB school is any good; you won't like YY if you're Chinese enough to speak a dialect at home. Check the last dozen YY threads if you have any questions.

Thanks for saying we can quote you. Oops, one thing though, you didn't say your full name, so we can tell YY enrollment and DCPCS who the authority was on this. Name please, which is the only way to truly quote someone?

so no one has ever been quoted anonymously? C'mon -- this is DC. Everyone get quoted anonymously in DC
