Help, my bra is about to kill me! 32dddd

I'm a 30G, and hate Chantelle bras also. Freya has worked for me. I tried visiting Coup de Foudre once, and they didn't have my size. The same with Intimacy. Maybe they were both out when I visited, but stores don't generally stock too many small band/large cup bras.

Will someone whose had surgery recently recommend a doctor they loved and had an excellent experience with? I apologize to those who said surgery who I barked at. Thank you in advance!

OP, post in the health section - you may get some good rec's there.

+1. Was just going to recommend this.

cup relays on band so 32dddd is actually not that big, but if you were like a 40dddd well thats a different story

Another vote for Sylene’s in Friendship Heights. But even better than that is The Town Shop in NYC. They WILL fit you properly - to the point that it would be worth a trip to New York just to get this done.

Anonymous wrote:I can't take much more. I am a 32dddd and have been wearing an underwire bra by Chantelle, fit and purchased at Nordies for far too long (the brand and style). The bra offers good support and I think it makes me look better. HOWEVER, I often can't take the pain another day! I am aware that it's on, almost always, as it digs into my ribs and under my breasts and is far too tight in the back. When I get home, I can't wait to unhook the thing, so I can breath. I've often unhooked it while in the car, and I literally breath a sigh of relief when it's off. Clearly it's the wrong fit.

Does anyone with large breasts have suggestions for where I can get fitted for and buy a bra that doesn't make me have panic attacks, and that does not sound the alarms at airports? Is there such a thing as a comfortable bra for a large breasted woman? If so, what is it (no jokes please)?

And, what is the lifespan of a bra that is washed on gentle with special soap?

TIA!

How often are you wearing the bra? I have about 7 bras in rotation, so I wear them 1/week, and I handwash them, and I would say they last about a year before they start to lose their shape and become less comfortable. I'm a 32d or dd, so not nearly as big as you are.

Also, FWIW, I've never found Chantelle bras comfortable. The band really digs into my ribs, I've found. Try Sylene's?

I'm actually intimidated about Skylene's, although I've never been there. I just have visions of stern women working there. Do you have actual experience with the staff there? Okay, I also have about 8 bras and rotate them.

They’re nice! Not intimidating at all! Lol: I just highly recommended the Town Shop in NYC in another post. Back in the day, they could be old school intimidating - but you Would walk out of there with a bra that fits!

Obvious answer: breast reduction

Yes, I'm a former OR RN. I would do it in a heart beat.

Wait: OP wanted nothing to do with a reduction. Now she wants one lol.

I’m genuinely curious, what was your purpose in digging up this years old thread just to post the above comment?

Plus their statement was flat wrong, pardon the pun.

I recommend a breast reduction for those of you with extra large mammaries.

I am a 32H. As others have mentioned Trousseau is great. I have found Natori Bras to be more comfortable than Chantelle.

Wires move over time.

I would never get reduction surgery either. I may get a lift with implants when I hit my 50s but my my body with smaller breast would just feel really weird.

You need to go to DOR NE Corset Shoppe (10:24 included the address in Silver Spring). I am a 34 G. All of the other fancy places noted don't cater to large chested women. It is a bit intimidating but you will get over it. I grew up in D.C. and have been going there for as long as I can remember (I was already a C in the 6th grade). Nowhere else in this area can fit like the ladies there. You cannot order online or or go to a department store. I now drive from Alexandria once a year for a fit and complete replacement (very expensive, but big breasts wear out bras like there is no tomorrow). I was scheduled for a reduction the day after the Surgeon General shut down all elective surgeries
