Same here.

Ditto. If I have containers from me and the kids taking lunches to school / work, we might get up to once per day.

2 people in our home, we run ours once a day. We also wash everything in our dishwasher, pots/pans, all dishes. I've even put fixture globes, glass shelving from fridge and our grill racks, china, small trash cans, my hats so they keep shape and form. in our dishwasher. Our Kenmore is a saving grace and saves allot from getting broke due to my wife's carpul tunnel, it's a no brainer @ holiday time. During the holidays, it can be ran up to 3 times a day w/ all the food prep. that's done. when we first got our new machine, we ran all our dishes through and was shocked at how much cleaner and lighter the dishes looked. You can't wash dishes by hand in as hot of water as what a dishwasher can do. One final note, once a month i run a bottle of Dishwasher Magic through the machine to keep the dishwasher clean and functioning properly!

Same. I don't think I've ever run it more than once in a day.

+1 family of 2 adults, toddler and 1 year old.

Family of three humans + 2 dogs. Almost every night .DH is in charge of running and unloading the dishwasher. The dog bowls take up a lot of space.

Usually run it twice a day on Saturday, my major cooking day. Lasagna pans, 8 quart stock pot, large frying pan, baking trays, crock pot insert easily take up entire load.

2 adults and 2 children. 1xper day. But when we remodeled the kitchen, I put in 2 dishwashers. The other dishwasher is usually starting to be loaded after dinner when one dishwasher is going.

Everyone eats breakfast at home. Everyone brings lunch in containers--an entree, some fruit, some cut up veggies, and cheese cubes or yogurt plus a water bottle. Usually either 4 small container per person or one large container times 4. Then there are the dinner dishes. The before bed snack dishes usually start the next dishwasher load.

Usually once or twice a day for our family of four. It's a workhorse and, according to folks who actually study these things, more energy efficient and water efficient than doing it by hand. It's Bosch and everything goes in - plates, wine glasses, plastic ware and pots.

Each night. 2 adults, one child.

You should get him to do a youtube video!

OP think about how much $ you could save if you bought a high efficiency dishwasher!

2 adults 2 kids..we run it about 1 x per day. We would run it much less if I didn't have many little gladware containers from packed lunches. Sometimes I wonder if plastic bags might be more environmetal...but don;t really think so.
