Bare hands vs. Washcloths

I agree with PP's all if the sponges and washcloths are breeding grounds for nastiness. I hate to feel a floppy, wet, rag on my body. I have a detachable shower head for pits and bits- gets everything is sparkling clean!

I think we need an OCD forum for all these threads.
What does anyone care what I'm washing myself with? I don't have BO, so MYOB!

I use a wash cloth everytime and everywhere also, and I toss it in the hamper to be washed after.First time I saw someone washing with just their hands, I thought "what they hey?"

Are you this passionate about everything?

Beg your pardon?

Am I missing a vagina vs. vulva post reference joke here? Agree that soap up inside your vagina is probably not such a good idea... but I think if I didn't use soap on the outside it would probably just fuse together. Is this serious?

PP probably thinks you need a special, gentle wash for that area. And she probably douches, too.

You should only use a washcloth once or twice a week to exfoliate. I use the Japanese Salux Nylon washcloth twice a week after cleansing to exfoliate my body, cold water rinse, then moisturize. The other days i shower its just shower gel and my hands. Don't use a wash cloth everyday, it aint good.

Reading This Thread I thought Most Post Were Judgmental At Best Prejudice At Worst & In Some Just Rude & ignorant But It Made Me Re-Think How I perceived My Partner For Not Using A Cloth & How I Must Have Made Him Feel For Criticizing Him On His Hygiene Practices. Some of the hateful ignorant comments here showed me my ignorance so thanks for that. I use a washcloth by the way, a separate one for my face & body. after each use I use soap to clean my body cloth, rinse wring out & hang on a towel rack to dry. I do laundry once a week & all towels get washed &, sanitized weekly same as my other laundry. My partner used to use only his hands, then I got him to use a loofah & liquid soap, & after apologizing for insulting him his, adding washcloths to his options. None of this by the way had anything to do with our sexual lifestyle. I know polygamist, swingers, monogamous couples, individuals who practice abstinence, & they all practice different methods of,hygiene.

But I use washcloths (new one each bath) on kids.

Not pp but I never use any soap near that area. Just water. Soap irritates the skin there, increases risk for infection or allergic reaction.

+1. And I use an exfoliating body scrub as needed.

My beloved hand held shower is great for speedy power washing. I don't know why people like overhead showers. Do you all do handstands or standing splits to rinse off the lower bits?

I use a wash cloth once a week or so to exfoliate all over. I don't reuse wash cloths without having laundered them. Unless you've been mud wrestling, there's no need to soap up your entire body. I do wonder about women who shower and don't use soap on their bits. I should think you'd get a little pungent over time.
