Bare hands vs. Washcloths

I use a wash cloth everytime and everywhere also, and I toss it in the hamper to be washed after.First time I saw someone washing with just their hands, I thought "what they hey?"

Oh please. If one is using soap and water, one is getting clean. I could say you throwing a soaking wet washcloth in the hamper immediately after use is disgusting (mildew, etc). See how that works.

What if you don't have a washcloth? Would you refrain from taking a shower?

Pouf in the shower. Washcloth if I'm at a hotel or something. I buy a new pouf every 3 months or so.

Bare hands for face, but do some extra scrubbing with a damp washcloth after I've rinsed the face wash off. I use a new washcloth for my face every day or every other day.

pits and bits?

Armpits and naughty bits.

Right. I like to scrub, which is why I don't use a loofah. But bare hands is bizarre.

Bare hands. I have never taken a washcloth into the shower or even thought of doing so.

If my face is really dirty, I use a washcloth at the sink, otherwise I just rinse my face with water.

I love the feeling of the poufs but I saw a show once where they tested a bath pouf and the amount of bacteria on it was astounding. I'm not even the kind of person to get grossed out by that type of stuff normally, but it was disgusting. I haven't used one since. Washcloths are so slippery I feel like I can't even wash properly with them. It's a fight. So I just use bare hands.

i use a washcloth each and every shower along w/a poofy thing. i have a separte wash cloth for my face.

i offer a wash cloth to all my house guest. some use them and some look at me like ummmm okay. i remember we went to a bed and breakfast and there wasn't a wash cloth around. my husband left the task of me asking the inn owner for some.

i can't get down w/washing my "bits" w/just my hands.

I think people find whatever they didn't grow up with to be aberrant.

I grow up bathing (not showers) with soap and water, no facecloth unless you are just washing your face.

If I had a cloth 'know my parts' as intimately as some peoples cloths know their parts, I would throw it away, not wash and reuse; that is disgusting to me. How can you just throw that in a hamper to rot/dry out/get your other clothes so nasty?? Why wouldn't you immediately do a load of laundry?

I don't have dry/flaky skin, or whatever reason it is that people scrub their whole body so hard.

Do people scrub at their babies like this? I literally put my toddlers in the tub and consider them clean. I wash their faces and let the water run over their bottoms a few times but I sure don't scrub at them, either. Is that disgusting to some?

Bare hands.

Washcloths and poufs are just places for bacteria and mold to grow. And the thought of taking a washcloth that had been used by someone else and using it on one's nether regions, and then giving it back to said person, makes me want to throw up.

Washcloths. I don't get a new one for each bath/shower.

Wash cloth. I use a new one for each shower. I hang the used one up on my shower hook til it dries, then I toss into the hamper. I wouldnt feel clean if I use just my hands. I have tons of washcloths....

Sea sponge and a horse hair brush once or twice a week. I use a wash cloth during that time of the month (do not want blood on my sponge).

Bare hands and regular soap for pits and bits. Pouf for all the rest.

Sorry, but this little thing just gave me a giggle. No comment other than to say: people with dry/flaky skin are supposed to be all the MORE gentle with their skin, not scrub it to kingdom come - lol. Derms tell us: "You don't have all the oil that oily-skinned people do, so stop the scrub, scrub, scrubbing! Your skin needs all the oil it can get, so don't scrub it away!"
