Yeah, even though it was REAGAN signing the earned income tax credit bill that helped prop the number up that high. God forbid our grandparents on medicare, college students on loans, people earning less than 20K, Iraq war veterans going to the V.A. get away without paying federal income taxes. Someone figured out that that is cap gains tax. At the debates he said that if the proposal to cut cap gains taxes went through he would pay no taxes....


This is accurate. Even if you hate the sources (Daily Kos/Maddow) the fact remains that Romney admits here that under Gingrich's proposed plan of not taxing capital gains, he'd have paid no taxes in the past two years. That means he has paid NO income tax (ie tax on earned income) in the past two years. Of course, he won't release his tax returns...
